The Juilliard School has approximately 850 colleges and about 290 pre-colleges. With 6% acceptance rate, Juilliard is considered highly competitive and prestigious. The school offers courses in dance, drama, and music.

Juilliard has a Pre-College Division, Music Technology Center and a Juilliard Electric Ensemble. The Pre-College Division is open to students who wish to enroll in the Music Advancement Program. The Pre-College program teaches students enrolled in elementary, junior high and high school. The Music Technology Center was introduced in 1993 to provide students with the opportunity to use digital technology in the creation and performance of new music. Whereas, the Juilliard Electric Ensemble was created in 2003 to provide students from all three Juilliard’s divisions (dance, drama, and music) with an opportunity to use new technology in the creation and performance of interactive and multi-disciplinary work.

The Juilliard School is located in the Lincoln Center of the Performing Arts. The center sits on a 16.3 acre complex of buildings in the Lincoln Square neighborhood of the borough of Manhattan in New York City. The Lincoln Center is publicly known for its enormous and gorgeous performance facilities. The center has 30 indoor and outdoor performance facilities which include: the Metropolitan Opera House, David H. Koch Theater and the Damrosch Park.
