Apply for Tennessee Financial Aid

Tennessee financial aid is available for students attending four-year, two-year, and technical colleges. Aid comes in various forms, including Merit-based scholarships and general grants. Take a look at some of the most popular options below.

Tennessee HOPE Scholarship

Funded by the proceeds from the state lottery, the HOPE scholarship is awarded to entering freshmen enrolled at a secondary institution within sixteen months of graduating from a Tennessee high school.

Awards range from $1,000 to $1,750 and include help with four-year and two-year colleges.

Tennessee Reconnect Grant

If you have not previously earned an AA or BA degree and are an independent student (according to FAFSA® guidelines), you may be eligible for the Tennessee Reconnect Grant. This grant awards aid based on how much tuition you have to pay and how much gift aid you’ve received.

It aims to help independent students that may not otherwise be able to pay for their education.

Dual Enrollment Grant

If you would like to start your education early and are an attending high school student, you could be eligible for the Dual Enrollment Grant. The grant is funded by the Tennessee Lottery and offers financial aid for students working towards their college degree while still enrolled in high school.

There are various academic requirements.
